The Cycle Electric CE-84T-99 charging system is designed to upgrade your 1999-2003 Harley FLH or FLT to 50 amp three-phase output.
Why switch to three-phase? Adding phases helps reduce the difference between peaks and troughs in the waveform as seen on an oscilloscope. When those three phases of alternating current are rectified, the product is a smoother DC current output. This results in a more consistent charge for the battery, as well as a considerable increase in low-speed charging output.
The benefit to you is more power for accessories—lights, electronics, and heated gear for you and your pillion. The increased low speed output is an important consideration for those on fuel-injected models. It helps prevent system discharge at idle from the fuel pump and injectors.
